Sony Honami Mini spotted – rumoured to be launched in September
Samsung has the Galaxy S4 Mini handset, while HTC has the One Mini handset. So what about Sony? Rumour has it that the Japanese phone maker is cooking up a mini handset as well, the Honami Mini. It is said that Sony will be lifting the lid on the smartphone at the IFA trade show in Germany on the 4th of September.
Leaks concerning the rumoured handset have been spotted on the Esato forums by GSMInsider. The site reports, “The Sony Honami Mini has been leaked via forum whereas the code name of the device is known as the Ray 3. The Codename has linked us to the older device – Sony Xperia Ray but both devices don’t have any relationship.”
In terms of specs, the site reports, “The Sony Honami is tipped to come with Snapdragon 800 that clocked up to 2.3GHz, 4.3GHz HD 720p resolution, 2GB of RAM, 20-megapixel main camera with Sony G Lens, 16GB of internal memory and a 2,400mAh battery.”
In terms of the phone’s launch date, the site reports, “The source confident that it will be launched on 4th September and will be showcased at the IFA 2013 event in Berlin. The Sony Honami Mini isn’t a downgraded device but a smaller device. The inner processor and the main camera are same like the larger Sony Honami.”
