The Samsung Galaxy Note And Galaxy S3 - Touchscreen And Processor Technology Compared

The latest flagship Android smartphone from popular Korean manufacturer Samsung is the Galaxy S3.  This has already gained a reputation as a great smartphone thanks to its impressive features.  In this article, I will compare a couple of its main features with those of another popular Samsung smartphone, the Galaxy Note.

One of the immediately noticeable differences between these phones is their size of their screens.  At 4.8 inches, the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is by no means small, but the screen of the Galaxy Note is larger still, measuring up at 5.3 inches, making it one of the largest smartphone touchscreens on the market. Both of these models utilise Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen technology which has several benefits ranging from wide viewing angles, consistent brightness and great colour rendering. This is similar to the technology used by the Galaxy S2, one of the most popular Android smartphones of all time, the screen of which is widely regarded as one of its crowning features. The resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S3's screen is 720x 1280, which means that it is able to display high definition content, and offers display quality which is among the best on the market. The Galaxy Note has a slightly higher resolution to ensure great display quality is maintained on the larger screen. Choosing between these phones based on their touchscreens is likely to come down to personal preference for either the superior display quality of the Galaxy S3 or the larger screen dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Processor

When the Samsung Galaxy S3 was first released, a lot of attention was paid to its processor. This is because it is one of the first smartphones to incorporate a quad-core processor, and at 1.4GHz this makes it one of the most powerful smartphones on the market in terms of processing power. This extra processing power offers many benefits to users. These include a more responsive touchscreen, faster downloads, quicker loading and operating times of apps and more efficient multitasking. The processor of the Samsung Galaxy Note is slightly less powerful on paper. This is a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, but at the time of the handset's release made it one of the most powerful on the market, and it still provides it with excellent performance, even by today's standards.

As you can see, both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note are well equipped smartphones. Of course, there is much more to each device, but as you can see they are very different phones, aimed at different sections of the smartphone market.
