The Samsung Galaxy S3 Tops Smartphone Sales Charts

The Galaxy S3 was launched a few weeks ago, after several months of speculation and rumours regarding its specification list. Its predecessor and former Samsung flagship, the Galaxy S2 is amongst the most successful Android phones thus far, selling more than 40 million units. The Galaxy S3 appears set to replicate that success if preliminary sales numbers are anything to go by.

Not surprisingly, the Galaxy S3 is already selling well. It has been announced that the device boasted more than 9 million pre-orders, which is a larger figure compared to the Samsung Galaxy S2. In actual fact, it has been reported that Samsung are finding it difficult to keep up with high demand and their production facilities and suppliers are having to work tirelessly to keep up with orders placed. If pre-orders are anything to go by, don't be surprised if the Galaxy S3 to prove every bit as, or even more popular than its predecessor.

Why is the Galaxy S3 proving so popular so soon after its introduction?

The Galaxy S3 carries a specification list which only a few other phones can compete with. There's an notable 4.8 inch screen, 8 MP camera, along with the most recently released version of Android called ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’. This also offers the Samsung TouchWiz user interface on top. This is Samsung’s custom Android user interface which offers additional customization opportunities, more downloadable content as well as an alternative appearance to the stock Android interface. Of course, the device also provides the ability to download apps from Google Play. The Samsung Galaxy S3 adds a variety of impressive additional features, including S-Voice, a voice activated personal assistant much like Apple’s Siri, along with a number of gesture activated functions including Smart Stay.

Should you be thinking about getting hold of this most exceptional of mobile phones, there are lots of offers offered by almost all leading UK networks. These include pay monthly offers, PAYG (pay as you go), and SIM free deals, in which you purchase the phone outright, and simply use a SIM card with the contract that you choose. If you select a pay monthly offer, a lot of UK network operators offer the handset itself absolutely free. A good example is O2 Unlimited 1GB. This specific deal costs £36 per month and it has unrestricted call and text message allowances coupled with 1GB of data use when using O2’s network (Wi-Fi data is unrestricted), together with a free Samsung Galaxy S3.
