Uk Samsung Galaxy S3 Users To Enjoy 4G Connectivity Soon

Across the U.S, 4G LTE connectivity is widespread, meaning that consumers are enjoying super fast connectivity speeds on smartphones.  The UK looks set to follow suit in the future, meaning users will enjoy faster speeds than is provided by the current 3G networks.

A company called Everything Everywhere (the company which operates popular UK networks T-Mobile and Orange) has been given the official go ahead to launch a 4G network.  This will allow users to enjoy much faster speeds which are faster not only than 3G, but also most broadband internet connections provided by most broadband services in homes and workplaces.

A video posted on CNET demonstrates the Samsung Galaxy S3 using a 4G network.  With an app called SpeedTest which is available from the Google Play Store, it shows the handset achieving impressive download speeds of 39.75 MB per second, which far surpasses the 21 MB per second which the handset is capable of with a 3G network, which is impressive in its own right.  In addition, it also provides the handset with upload speeds of 23.95 MB per second, which is a huge improvement from the 5.76 mega bytes per second that it currently possesses.  This is much faster than the vast majority of broadband services in the UK, which goes to show how impressive this is when achieved on a smartphone.

T-Mobile and Orange websites have stated that a switch to a 4G network is in the pipeline.  Although no exact date has been given for this to take place, it is sure to be welcome by many who will appreciate the vastly increased speeds that this will provide.  Although a separate 4G plan will be required to take advantage of this, it looks likely that these will be phased in to new contracts.

Combined with its powerful quad-core processor, large touchscreen and Android operating system, these much faster speeds add to the already impressive web browsing credentials of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
