The HTC Desire offers some impressive special ringer features

The HTC Desire has some impressive special features including a ringer which automatically lowers its volume when the handset is picked up by the user, and totally mutes itself when the handset is placed screen-side down. It also has a powerful 1 GHz processor and 5 megapixel camera for photos and videos.
The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 gigahertz processor to provide stunning power to the Android Eclair (2.1) operating system which is enhanced with the additional HTC Sense user interface, and allows the handset to seamlessly run multiple widgets and applications simultaneously. This is further made possible due to the 576 megabytes of random access memory (RAM) also included. The user has plenty of scope to keep photos, videos and music on their handset besides more downloaded widgets and applications with the microSD card slot capable of providing up to 32 gigabytes of expandable storage memory.
The Desire has 3G up to 7.2 megabits per second download, and 2 megabits per second upload speeds respectively. GPRS is also present at 114 kilobits per second download, and EDGE at up to 560 kilobits per second. For hotspots and around routers the user also has Wi-Fi accessibility to access the internet at faster speeds and along with the handsets hardware, making Web browsing extremely fast and easy. The internet connection can also be shared through the micro-USB (5-pin 2.0) connection present also.
The handset provides further connectivity through the Bluetooth 2.1 with enhanced data rate (EDR) for easy wireless file and data sharing, along with various other protocols including File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Object Push Protocol (OPP). The Bluetooth also has the A2DP profile enabling it to provide wireless stereo audio from the phone to Bluetooth (compatible) headsets or whole stereo systems.
The phone has a 5 megapixel resolution camera with face detection and auto focus. Additionally, it has a flash for added light in poor light conditions to produce a better image first time. The user can also take photos in widescreen (16:9 ratio) to view back on the 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen display. The internal GPS antenna also allows the handset to automatically geotag photos and videos captured alongside other location based and navigation services.
The HTC Desire is a powerful handset featuring both an expandable and reapplication-rich operating system and software supported by a powerful set of hardware particularly its processor and apt random access memory. With these both present together, it offers the user much ability to expand the phone further with more widgets and personalisation.
