The HTC Rhyme And The Blackberry Curve 9300 Offer Eye Catching Design

The new HTC Rhyme offers a super mix of modern styling and high specification all at an attractive price point that is lower than the likes of the iPhone 4S and the HTC Sensation XL. Here we compare this brand new model with another phone that has become a firm favourite with consumers in this sector of the mobile phone market, the Blackberry Curve 9300.

These two handsets are both very distinctive in their design. You could pick either of these phones out from the crowd which is a nice quality given the dozens of modern phones that all look very similar. The Rhyme is unique because of its attractive colour options. The handsets default finish is an attractive deep purple but there is also an eye catching champagne gold finish available. The Curve 9300 offers a full Qwerty keypad which makes a pleasant change from having a large touchscreen dominating the fascia of the phone. Thanks to this physical keypad the phone will strike a chord with business people looking to compose documents whilst on the move. This range of phones have also porven popular with a younger generation who like to use instant messaging facilities rather than voice calls. The HTC Rhyme is unquestionably the more modern design but the Blackberry does have a unique appeal thanks to its classic looks.

The 3.7 inch screen on the HTC Rhymeis perfect for viewing a variety of material from video footage to photographs captured on the handset. In order to playback such files it is important that the phone offers a good storage capacity and this model does not disappoint with its 4GB of internal storage. HTC have also fitted a micro SD card slot onto the model meaning a further 32GB of capacity can be added to the phone if required. The Curve 9300 offers a much smaller storage capacity of 256MB. It is fair to say that anybody purchasing the Blackberry is unlikely to use the handset for much multi media use as it only offers a 2.46 inch display. Once again a micro SD card slot is present so if extra capacity is required it can easily be done. Blackberry have acknowledged that camera facilites will not be a key area of this model so have opted for a basic 2 mega pixel camera which can capture VGA video footage. HTC on the other hand realise that many consumers purchasing the Rhyme will value the camera features and therefore have fitted a high quality 5 mega pixel snapper on this phone together with HD recording capabilities.

The HTC Rhyme and the Blackberry Curve 9300 are both excellent models for anybody looking to avoid the high priced premium end of the market. The Rhyme will appeal to the media lovers whilst the Blackberry will become a success with the new generation who like to use IM facilities.

The HTC Rhyme and the Blackberry Curve 9300 are available now.
