The HTC Sensation And What The Latest Version Of Opera Has To Offer

Long gone are the days when a mobile phone was used solely for making calls and sending texts. Modern smartphones are powerful mini computers able to carry out all manner of tasks including photography, video capture and music playback. The most widely used facility however is web browsing with the wide range of connectivity options available together with large screens ideal for such a task. The HTC Sensation is one of the very best handsets available on the Android operating system and makes use of the excellent Opera web browser. This browser has undergone an overhaul and the result is perhaps the most pleasing online mobile experience that you are likely to encounter.

The large 4.3 inch display on the HTC Sensation makes the phone superb for a spot of surfing the web and Opera 11 makes this task a pleasure. The resolution of the handset together with the improved user interface of the browser makes the display look crystal clear with smooth text and vivid images. One of the big changes over previous versions of Opera is that there is now a double tap to zoom facility which replaces the older single tap method. This is useful as it prevents accidentally zooming in on areas of the page by accident. In addition to this change the Android version now also boasts full Flash support allowing the user to take full advantage of even the most complex web pages such as BBC iPlayer. This Flash content can even be accessed whilst the browser is in overview mode whereas on older version you can only click on the content whilst zoomed in.

The Opera web browser together with the HTC Sensationis a really perfect match. In terms of user friendliness the new system now incorporates buttons that enable you to jump directly to the top or the bottom of the page which is a much more simple method than continually swiping your finger upwards or downwards. When panning down a page or zooming in the developers have improved the rendering rate meaning that the page loads much faster and in addition the text wrap has also been improved whilst zoomed in. This refers to how the words on a page are resized to fit the screen so you can still view all of the information that you need quickly and easily. A session restore has also been included so if you have to leave the browser for any reason you can pick up where you left off next time you use it.

The web browsing is just one of many reasons why the HTC Sensation is such a superb handset. Opera have made some significant changes to their system and these really add to the overall experience on the Sensation.
