Three top awards for Oumph! in World Food Innovation Awards

Pulled Oumph! from Swedish plant-based food manufacturer Food for Progress has won first prize in no less than three categories in the prestigious World Food Innovation Awards:

The awards were presented today, the 18th of March at the International Food & Drinks Exhibition (IFE) at London's ExCeL. The jury was made up of an international panel of 14 seasoned industry experts from a range of food industry sectors.

The composite reasoning of the judging panel in selecting Oumph! was:

"Innovative, on-trend product with many versatile possibilities, satisfying the demand for vegan options. Food for Progress offers a healthy alternative to animal protein in an attractive presentation, good for the planet and good for the people."

"Can a plant-based product delight the street food market? Food for Progress have produced a product which offers plenty of benefit, and presented in packaging that is sure to tempt the most meat-hardy of people. The brand is very on trend with the 'dirty vegan' movement, helping to bridge the gap between meat-free eating and classic comfort foods/great taste. This is a foodservice operator’s dream; a good quality, flavoursome vegan option to rival any meat options."

The World Food Innovation Awards is one of the most established award schemes in the industry. The World Food Innovation Awards is now in its 5th year and received 380 entries from over 33 countries in 2019.

Apart from the three wins in the World Food Innovation Awards, three Oumph! product are currently also shortlisted in the FreeFrom Food Awards, and the brand has been nominated in the Best Vegan Brand category at the Veggie Awards!

Oumph! in the UK and Ireland

Oumph! is currently available in Tesco, Holland & Barrett, Whole Foods Market, As Nature Intended and a number of independent chains and stores across the UK.

Oumph! is on the menu at a number of cafés and restaurant chains in the UK, including Busaba, Hilton Hotels and Sodexo food services, with more to be announced this spring.

Oumph! recently launched at Tesco in Ireland.

Popular Oumph! products include Pulled Oumph!, Kebab Spiced, Thyme & Garlic, Salty & Smoky, The Chunk, and the Oumph! Pizza Italian Style.

Later on this spring a brand new product; The Oumph! Burger, will be launched into foodservice and retail.
