The new relationship with Oaks focuses on securing new income for the London Sport and its partners, supporting their mission to make London the most physically active city in the world.

London Sport – the non-profit agency working to improve Londoner’s lives by increasing levels of physical activity and sport – is delighted to announce its new fundraising partnership with Oaks: a consultancy providing strategy and income generation services across sport and education.

For several years, London Sport has been building partnerships, championing products and investing in interventions that inspire physical activity and sport across the capital.

With bold ambitions to make London the world’s most active city, the organisation recognises this will require substantial investment from a diverse range of commercial sources and is determined to continue building a suite of attractive services and products to generate new income.

Following a competitive tender process, Oaks were chosen by London Sport’s senior management team as their first dedicated fundraising agency.

Over the next two years, Oaks will work closely with the London Sport team to help maximise their income generation potential and ultimately assist in securing new and diverse funding in support of the charity’s future ambitions.

Tove Okunniwa, Chief Executive at London Sport, says:

“We are pleased to announce this exciting new partnership with Oaks and look forward to working with their team of experts as we look to accelerate our income diversification efforts in the coming months.

This is an enormously exciting time for grassroots physical activity and sport in London, and I am confident that this partnership will help London Sport to extend the impact of our work in the years to come.”

Rahul Bissoonauth, Director of Business Development at Oaks adds:

“London Sport are one of the most prominent organisations in community sport and we are delighted to be given the opportunity to explore their fundraising and commercial potential.

They have a unique proposition in the House of Sport, are backed by both Sport England and the Mayor of London, and possess bold ambitions for transforming the physical activity behaviours of the capital: an attractive proposition for any donor, funder or corporate partner.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with the London Sport team over the coming months and would urge any interested partners to get in touch and find out more when you can.”
