Industry invitation to TyreSafe briefing

TyreSafe has issued an open invitation for companies and individuals to attend its first ever quarterly communications briefing on 7th September. The event has been designed to provide existing TyreSafe members and other interested parties such as road safety professionals, fleets or even company HR managers, about the organisation’s upcoming campaigns, so they can plan and integrate their own activities around them.

“The level of interest and support for TyreSafe has grown enormously in recent times so it was important that our regular communications meetings evolved to allow input and participation from as many people as possible,” explains Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe. “We were overwhelmed with the attendance at the roadshow we held in January and it would be fantastic if we can get similar levels of support. The meeting will be a fantastic opportunity for companies to hear detailed plans about future campaigns so that they can dovetail their own activities and fully utilise our resources and materials.”

Many new initiatives will be launched at the communications meeting, including campaign materials for this October’s tyre safety month, the organisations new website and a range of online resources which are expected to attract significant media interest.

Additionally, attendees will hear presentations from two TyreSafe members on key topics that will impact significantly on the industry over the coming 12 months. The first will be from the Highways Agency who will provide an outline about their revised road safety remit and how companies can work with the organisation to improve road safety. The second presentation will be from Tyresure, a longstanding member of TyreSafe, who will provide a briefing about the impending legislative changes regarding tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and how workshops need to equip themselves accordingly.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone in the tyre and wider automotive industry or road safety professionals to understand what TyreSafe does, how we work with our partners and understand what’s available to them and how they can become involved. I’m sure that attendees will find it extremely valuable and informative and I look forward to seeing as many people as possible there.”

Anybody wishing to attend the free event can do so by registering with TyreSafe by calling 01787 226995.

“Tyre safety should be of paramount importance to anyone connected with the trade, so this event is a great opportunity to get involved. This is a fantastic chance to discover more about this very important subject and put something back into the industry,” adds Jackson.
