Sitecore Positioned as a Visionary in Gartner’s Multichannel Campaign Management Magic Quadrant for Second Consecutive Year

London June 5th 2013 – Sitecore, a global leader in customer experience management software, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Visionaries Quadrant of the 2013 Magic Quadrant for Multichannel Campaign Management (MCCM). According to Gartner, companies considered to be “Visionaries” drive the market, with a strong vision for where the campaign management market is headed. In addition, these innovators set the strategic direction for the market and demonstrate the innovative capabilities that the market will eventually adopt.[1]

Sitecore believes that being recognised by Gartner for the second consecutive year is due to the company’s continued growth in digital and multichannel marketing and for its Web campaign management capabilities including the orchestration of campaigns for digital channels, such as websites, landing pages, microsites, email, mobile sites, adaptive print and social media.[2]

According to the Gartner report, digital marketing continues to fuel the multichannel campaign management market. New approaches to campaigns, such as real-time social and mobile offers, as well as the rising need of content marketing to support interactions, will drive this market forward. Additionally, Gartner finds that digital marketing budgets totaled 2.5% of revenue and will increase 9% this year. [3]

“This has been a transformative year for Sitecore as we evolve our multichannel campaign management solution to further deliver on our promise of creating value for our customers,” said Michael Seifert, CEO, Sitecore. “Gartner has recognised Sitecore as a Leader in the web content management (WCM) market for the past three years and we are excited to be recognised for a second year by Gartner as a Visionary in the emerging multichannel campaign management market, which is a critical initiative for CMOs today. We are committed to continuing to work with our partners to define this market and allow our customers to create inspiring digital marketing experiences for their audiences.”

Gartner defines multichannel campaign management as processes that enable companies to define, orchestrate and communicate offers, both inbound and outbound, to customer segments across multichannel environments, such as websites, mobile, social, direct mail, call centres and email. This approach can include integrating marketing offers/leads with sales for execution. Basic campaign management includes functionality for segmentation, campaign execution and campaign workflows. Advanced analytic functionality includes predictive analytics and campaign optimisation.[4]

As one of the most visionary customer engagement management companies, Sitecore sets a strategic direction for the industry and demonstrates innovative capabilities for multichannel campaign management through the Sitecore Customer Engagement Platform (CEP). Sitecore’s CEP is the industry’s only unified solution for delivering multichannel marketing that’s relevant, immediate and fully integrated across all channels. Sitecore’s CEP brings together multiple components – content management, digital marketing, engagement automation and analytics, and business processes – into a single unified software suite, which marketers use to deliver outstanding results.
