10 days until the Alpine World Championship in Åre - Information about SkiStar´s press service
THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS AS THE EYES OF THE WORLD FOCUS ON ÅRE, SWEDEN FOR THE FIS ALPINE WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS. SkiStar is the host and proud presenting partner of the prestigious FIS Alpine World Ski Championships at its flagship resort Åre. The world of skiing will turn its gaze to SkiStar’s flagship resort of Åre in Sweden from 4th – 17th February, as the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships get underway at this dynamic alpine hub, with 600 television hours scheduled for 700 million viewers. At the heart of the National Arena, SkiStar will have a press service desk at the media center.

Ski guiding Åre
Take a chance to be guided on skis through SkiStar Åre´s slopes close to the National Arena. An ingenious tunnel system under the championship slopes will allow skiers to continue their runs as the top sporting stars of skiing soar above.
Information packages
Early morning skiing with breakfast, skiing in the moonlight and après ski in the village of Åre. Skiing in Åre´s family-friendly ski area Björnen, famous Swedish ”fika” and delicious snacks from the Jämtland-area in the unique Malmstensrummet at SkiStar House, hotel Åregården.

During the two weeks of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2019 in Åre the world will see new world champions crowned in downhill, super-G, giant slalom, slalom, alpine combined and the alpine team event. Below you will find the official competition program including the ceremonies during the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships period from 4-17 February 2019.
Media Center & Accreditation
During the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships from 4-17 February 2019, the Media Center will be located at the National Arena at Årevägen 180. At the Media Center you will have access to everything you need to get your work done, including WiFi, power, snacks, beverages as well as a media restaurant. An accreditation will be required to access the media zones within the Arena. Please collect your personal accreditation which requires a photograph at the Welcome Center located at Holiday Club on your arrival in Åre and wear it at all times when accessing restricted media zones.To request an accreditation please complete the online form on the link.
