Press release -
Hemsedal ranked the eighth best ski resort in Europe by Condé Nast Traveller
Condé Nast Traveller has just announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, where SkiStar Hemsedal proudly takes eighth place on the list of Europe’s best ski resorts. At the top of the list are world-famous destinations such as Val d’Isère, Kitzbühel and Gstaad – further down appear Verbier, St. Moritz and Norway’s very own Hemsedal.
“We are incredibly proud and happy about this prestigious recognition,” says Stefan Sjöstrand, CEO of SkiStar. “Even more gratifying is that we have climbed the ranking and are now among the ten best ski resorts in Europe. We will continue to develop Hemsedal – both the ski area and accommodation offerings – always with our guests’ experience at the centre,” adds Stefan Sjöstrand.
Hemsedal – a Norwegian ski adventure
Hemsedal is one of Scandinavia’s most complete ski destinations, offering a unique combination of snow-sure winters, varied slopes and a welcoming atmosphere. Here you’ll find everything from wide carving runs and family-friendly areas to steep challenges and exciting off-piste terrain.
The surrounding mountains create a genuine alpine feel, and the combination of modern lift systems, great food and a vibrant social scene makes Hemsedal a place people return to year after year – whether for a family holiday, ski touring or lively après-ski with friends.
“This recognition doesn’t come by chance. Behind Hemsedal as a ski destination lies many years of dedicated work from all our employees, partners and the local community,” says Jonatan Eklöf, Destination Manager at SkiStar Hemsedal. “We are constantly working to enhance the experience – on the slopes, in our accommodation and through our interaction with guests – to ensure Hemsedal remains a place people look forward to returning to, year after year,” concludes Jonatan.
