Early Bird tickets Solar Weekend sold out

ROERMOND, THE NETHERLANDS – Early Bird tickets for Solar Weekend 2015 have sold out completely. Regular tickets for the creative crossover festival go on sale this Friday, December 19 at exactly 11:57 AM. This year’s theme is “Cinema”. The popular festival is held July 30 - August 2, 2015 at recreational beach de Maasplassen in Roermond.


More than music
This year, Solar Weekend once more features a broad musical program comprising of, among others, hiphop, pop, techno and even classical music. The festival is much more than music alone though - it’s exploring theater, music and other art forms. “Solar” is known as one of the most creative festivals in Europe due to heavy cooperation with creatives. This year again sees the festival challenging artists and creative collectives to give it their all. Over 1200 creative participants helped in constructing last year’s edition of Solar Weekend. Those interested have until February 1, 2015 to register through the festival website.

Cinema
The creative Solar Weekend colors the festival with a yearly theme, this year’s being “Cinema”. The theme is found all over during the festival. Go wild in the Wild West, go adventuring in raw Waterworld, enter the mental asylum of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest or monkey around at Planet Of The Apes. Solar Weekend frequently extends the theme to the festival website, with artists sharing favorite movie experiences monthly.


Ticket sales
Tickets go on sale Friday December 19. Among others, visitors are able to choose between a Holiday Ticket for 3 or 4 days, costing €115 and €135 respectively. It’s also possible to purchase a Weekend Ticket for €79, or Day Ticket for €49. Tickets are available at www.solarweekend.com.
