Thirteen-year-old Oluwakare (Kare) Adenegan from Coventry has topped an incredible debut year of wheelchair racing by being selected to represent Great Britain at the IWAS World Junior Games in Stoke Mandeville from August 3 to 8.

She will be one of 17 SportsAid athletes at the event in a 23-strong British team.

Earlier this year Kare won the Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon's under-15 race, taking 8 minutes off her previous time.

She also won three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m and a silver medal in the 800m at the Senior Disability Games in Birmingham on June 15.

Then on July 12 Kare was up against world-record-holder Hannah Cockroft in the women's T34 100m at the Diamond League in Glasgow where she finished in third place with a time of 20.18.
