The BBC will launch its Internal Stammering Support Network tomorrow. This follows hard on the footsteps of ‘I Can’t Say My Name’, an acclaimed documentary which aired on March 10th this year, after which its presenter, Felicity Baker, was inundated by messages of support from the public as well as from staff at the Corporation.

STAMMA, the British Stammering Association, are delighted to announce that they will be hosting the 2022 International Stuttering Association (ISA) World Congress in Liverpool. This will be combined with STAMMA’s own biennial conference. The conference will be held on 24th-28th of August 2022 at the University of Liverpool.
It’s not uncommon for a person who stammers to have not spoken to another stammerer and for them to feel alone, not understood or even feel that they need to hide their stammer from society. A group of stammerers want to change this and have come together to organise an event focused on celebrating stammering.
