TV presenter and writer Anna Richardson is calling on stroke survivors, their friends and family in Eastbourne to join the Stroke Association to take a Step Out for Stroke. The charity is hosting one of its walks at Hampden Park at 11am on Sunday 24 June and everyone is welcome.
Over 100 stroke survivors and Sandringham residents raised over £750 for the Stroke Association, by taking part in the charity’s Step Out for Stroke walk at Sandringham Estates on Saturday 19 May.
Phil Woodford, a 47 year old stroke survivor from Catterall, Lancashire, will take on Scafell Pike on Sunday 3 June, alongside staff from the Stroke Association in North Lancashire and South Cumbria, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary Stroke Therapy team, volunteers and family members.

Andy Cloud, 59 from Southsea, is set to take part in the Stroke Association’s Step Out for Stroke fundraising walk, just five months after a life changing stroke.
Sarah Harbron, 31 from Stockton-on-Tees, is set to take part in the Step Out for Stroke fundraising walk in aid of the Stroke Association after being left paralysed following a stroke. She will take on the walk at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough on Friday 1 June.
Paul Flannery, 36 from Lincoln, is set to take part in the Stroke Association’s Step Out for Stroke fundraising walk at Central Park on Sunday 20 May, despite being told he would never walk again.
