New figures show that the number of stroke professionals across most of the UK is at a worryingly low level. This puts thousands of lives at risk and leaves many more stroke survivors under threat of a lifetime of severe disability, according to the Stroke Association.

According to a new survey by the Stroke Association, the favourite activities at Christmas time include decorating the tree (45%), cooking Christmas dinner (41%) and playing with the kids/grandkids (33%). Yet many of the UK’s 1.2 million stroke survivors are no longer able to enjoy these and many other Christmas pleasures.
