The Stroke Association statement on the death of Lord Skelmersdale

Stephen King, Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Stroke Association said:

“We were sad to hear of the passing of Lord Skelmersdale. He was the Chair of the Stroke Association from 1993 to 2003 and during that time, he made many important contributions to our charity.

“Under Lord Skelmersdale’s leadership we were able to support more people affected by stroke and fund stroke research. He was also key in helping to position stroke as a major health condition for the UK, in both Houses of Parliament. We are proud to continue his legacy to change the world for people affected by stroke.”
