Appeal for witnesses following robbery in Farnham

We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Upper Hale, Farnham in which a number of men used fire extinguishers to break entry to a property.

The incident happened on Thursday, 3 January at around 9.45pm when men wearing dark clothing and face coverings entered the home in Eton Place, off Sandy Hill Road. Once inside they deployed the fire extinguishers before searching the property.

Two women were at home at the time of the incident, one of whom tried to leave the property but was grabbed by the wrist by a man described as mixed race, between 30-40 years of age, around 5 feet 8 inches tall and of a larger build. No injuries were sustained by the victims.

A number of men made off with items including jewellery and trainers, in the direction of Odiham, Hampshire at approximately 10pm.

Detective Sergeant Yahya Aslam from Guildford Criminal Investigation Department said: “The occupants of the home have been left understandably shaken by this ordeal, and we’re appealing for any witnesses or neighbours with CCTV or dash cam footage to come forward to help us with our investigation.

“Similarly, if you live along Sandy Hill Road, the A3016 or A287 towards Crondall or Odiham, please check any CCTV cameras you may have outside your home.”
