Deep Rock Galactic kicks off Year of the Dragon with a fiery start in this year’s Lunar Festival Event

It’s time to celebrate the Year of the Dragon in style on Hoxxes IV, as Deep Rock Galactic welcomes the return of the Lunar Festival Event. Starting today, February 1, and running through February 15, dwarves can get in on a series of fiery activities and red-hot rewards to ring in the Lunar New Year!

It wouldn’t be a party without decorations, so fear not - Management has dressed the Space Rig with an assortment of festive paper lanterns and banners. There are also firecrackers available to set off indoors, and are definitely not a fire hazard. Coupled with two assignments that reward dwarves with fashionable Lunar New Year headgear, and a double performance point quest, Year of the Dragon is set to begin with a bang.

The 2024 Lunar Festival Event Key Information

• Stop Dragon your heels, there’s work to do
  • What would celebrations from Management be if they didn’t include two seasonal assignments? The first of these is Enter the Dragon, which rewards miners with a dragon-themed mask. Equipped with a moveable jaw, wiggly whiskers and googly eyes, eager dwarves can complete this assignment to breathe fire into their wardrobes. If dragon hats aren’t your thing, players can dive into the Last Year’s Blessings assignment, uncovering the rabbit and tiger hats of previous Lunar Festival events.
• Raiders of the Lost Dragons
  • As with every event, it seems another silly Longbeard courier has managed to lose a shipment of Lunar Festival Dragons across the depths of Hoxxes IV. Management is keen to dig up these golden statue relics and will reward employees handsomely for their safe return. Dwarves brave enough to venture into the caves and retrieve one of the lost artefacts will receive a lovely Double Performance Point bonus for their troubles.
• Say yes to friendly fire(crackers)
  • Alongside the highly flammable paper lanterns and banners in the Space Rig, Management has distributed an abundance of firecrackers for dwarves to play with. Startle friends and wake them up while they’re trying to catch 40 winks, or even just throw them around and watch the sparks fly. But please, do keep in mind that the Medbay has limited space.
