LONDON - November 5th, 2025 - PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, is excited to reveal its Version 4.1 Update. Available until January 5th, players can dive into the Frost Festival with an enchanting new Frosty Funland themed mode packed with playful penguins, snowy adventures, and seasonal surprises. The update also brings major gameplay enhancements, exciting new collaborations, and more, delivering a season of creativity, celebration, and frosty fun like never before.

The Frost Festival returns bigger and brighter than ever in the Version 4.1 Update with Frosty Funland, an all-new themed mode inviting players to explore Penguinville, a bustling snow-covered metropolis built by an enterprising penguin civilization. Forced to migrate from their melting homeland, these ingenious penguins have brought their charm, creativity, and 20th-century-inspired technology to Erangel, Livik, and Vikendi, transforming the maps into lively winter wonderlands. Players can traverse shimmering glaciers and uncover hidden surprises in Penguin Town, encountering a cast of whimsical characters. Among them is the mighty Ninja Penguin, PowNin, the first AI Penguin companion who wields a deadly mix of shuriken techniques, evasive ninja arts, and self-healing sardine snacks, and can be commanded with voice, text, and quick commands in English. Whether skating across trails of glimmering ice on the Penguin Snowmobile or battling through themed trials for exclusive achievements, Frosty Funland delivers a cute, lively, and joyfully chaotic experience for all PUBG MOBILE players to enjoy.

The Frosty Funland Themed Trial in Version 4.1 challenges squads to complete a festive mission under pressure! After unlocking all NPCs, players will earn a Party Mailbox Key to activate the trial in 4-player mode, where they must collect and deliver party invites across the map whilst fending off rivals. Successful teams will unlock a special celebration sequence and an exclusive achievement, marking their triumph in this frosty test of teamwork and endurance.

Celebrate the season in PUBG MOBILE’s Frost Festival Event, starting on 12/12, where festive cheer fills every corner of the battleground. Players can visit Wintercrest Hall in Snowy Vale, a special limited-time gameplay area where holiday tunes play from the Festive Tree, granting generous supply rewards to those who stop by and join the celebration. Across both themed and classic Erangel and Livik maps, buildings sparkle with wintry decorations and snow-covered charm, and select vehicles now feature Winter Vehicle Speakers that spread joyful melodies as players race through the frosty landscape. Players can also join the New Year Countdown Firework event to light up the skies in celebration, and participate in the Frosty Funland charity campaign, where every interaction with penguin NPCs, completed run, or act of helping penguins remove oil stains contributes to a global milestone. Once players collectively reach the goal, PUBG MOBILE will donate USD 100,000 to support penguin conservation in South Africa and South America, with all participants receiving an exclusive digital charity certificate.

Classic mode gets a festive makeover in Version 4.1 ahead of PMGC 2025, with various gameplay elements now featuring PMGC-themed visuals. Players can explore the PMGC Venue in Erangel and Livik, with a special photo spot where interacting grants a Champion Pack filled with supplies. Squads that check in together can also earn the Crown of Glory, a powerful item that restores Health and Energy for themselves and nearby teammates.

Elsewhere, the Version 4.1 update also introduces a host of enhancements to Classic Mode gameplay from November 6th. Firearms receive significant adjustments, including gradual long-range damage drop-off for rifles, low ammo alerts, and enhanced combat sound effects for greater tactical awareness and realism. Explore the all-new Boatyard area on Erangel, packed with new Wilderness pickups and updated in-match supply shops. Meanwhile, a new Loot Truck system spawns heavy trucks along looped routes that drop crates based on the damage they take, offering fresh and fun strategic options to give you the upper hand in battle and allowing players even more chances to secure valuable supplies.

The Version 4.1 Update also sees the arrival of Cycle 9 Season 27, bringing exciting updates across Classic, Casual, and Ultimate Royale seasons, alongside an exciting Firearm Combat Power event. Players can also look forward to the return of Crazy Chicken Day, happening every Friday and weekend, offering team-up perks including Ranked Rating Protection, Double Earnings, and chances to win weapon trial cards and cash rewards through Lucky Chicken Mate missions. Additionally, the Ranked Arena Event runs from November 27, 2025, to January 1, 2026, introducing a new competitive phase featuring modes like Team Deathmatch (Warehouse & Hangar), Assault (The Ruins), and Domination (Town), with tier rewards and an exclusive title for the top 1,000 players in each region.

Metro Royale Chapter 29 introduces a range of exciting updates and system improvements in the Version 4.1 Update, further enhancing player experience. New Snow Crates now appear randomly on Classic maps, offering valuable items for players to discover, while customisable settings have been added for 1v1 Metro Royale matches. Chapter 29 also brings new collectibles to uncover and enjoy, alongside Command Post updates, including adjustments to the daily gifting limit to encourage more meaningful interactions between players. Even after reaching maximum favorability, players can now continue to send gifts and receive return gifts, keeping the camaraderie alive.

PUBG MOBILE’s Home mode receives a frosty makeover in the Version 4.1 update, with the debut of the Polar Wonderland and Esports Room Home Styles, bringing fresh interactive elements and gameplay enhancements. New interactive objects include the Slide, Merry-Go-Round, and Electric Guitar with exclusive music, while editing and customisation receive upgrades, including guide planes for aligning floating objects, customisable Home button layouts, and the ability to delete purchased blueprints. Parking Lot Gameplay returns with a new season, allowing players to display vehicle finishes, earn Parking Tokens by parking in friends’ lots, and redeem tokens for exclusive rewards like Home statues. Additional Home features include a new Polar Wonderland Craftsman’s Pass with upgraded rewards, a Polar Wonderland-themed Home Lucky Spin, and updated Mysterious Merchant crates.

PUBG MOBILE’s Hub transforms into a lively winter-themed wonderland in the Version 4.1 update, inviting players to relax, connect, and celebrate the season together. The brand-new Game Table feature introduces a selection of fun mini-games, letting players join game rooms, complete weekly challenge missions, and earn exclusive rewards. Meanwhile, interactive emotes such as Princess Carry, Hold Hands, and Carry now include unique follow-up actions, adding depth and playfulness to every interaction. The adorable Penguin Assistance Event also makes its debut - help a penguin NPC clean oil residue off its body to unlock a limited-time Hub start animation, spreading extra cheer throughout the snowy season.

PUBG MOBILE’s Version 4.1 Update delivers a massive expansion for World of Wonder (WOW) creators and players alike. The all-new Resource Center enables creators to freely combine individual objects into usable prefabs, with the ability to upload and download shared creations, improving the efficiency and creativity of map building. In-match, players can enjoy new vehicles, items, skills, and NPCs, including the Armamech (Battle Form), Penguin Snowmobile, Swordfish Syringe, Salted Fish Rocket Launcher, Magic Ice Skates, and Firework Launcher, giving players even more ways to design and play unique modes. Updates to the Mission Editor allow creators to fully customise mission details and rewards, enabling players to seamlessly accept and submit missions within their custom experiences. Out-of-match features empower creators through a revamped Creation Lobby and Creator Forum access, and improved visual programming tools provide a more intuitive interface for creators to design complex logic systems, streamlining the creation process for both new and experienced developers. Elsewhere, the WOW Pass returns with new rewards and themed items, alongside community events that offer top creators the chance to win cash rewards and exclusive items, further strengthening WOW’s creator ecosystem.
