July 12th, 2024 - Developer Mithril Interactive are thrilled to announce that Dungeonborne, the eagerly awaited PvPvE extraction RPG and most played game during February’s Steam Next Fest, will be launching into Early Access on July 18th, 2024. Following a successful series of playtests, the studio is now ready to open the gates to those who seek riches and fame.

A Perilous Adventure

Dungeonborne is a first-person dungeon-crawler that blends elements of tactical extraction shooters and battle royale games within a dark fantasy setting. Players can venture solo or in small groups, fighting through hostile dungeons and gothic towers to secure valuable treasure. The game’s combat is fluid and multifaceted, from special moves such as gap closers and perfect blocks to environmental factors such as vantage points and trap locations. The stakes are high, too - fall in battle, and you lose it all. Success demands tactical decision-making, strategic use of player classes, and mastery of the game's deep combat systems.

Forging the Future Through Early Access

Dungeonborne offers a fresh take on the PvPvE dungeon crawling genre, combining traditional gameplay elements with innovative player class options and dynamic combat. The Early Access version of the game will feature eight distinct player classes at launch including Fighter, Priest, Rogue, Swordmaster, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Death Knight, and the recently introduced Druid. Each class offers a unique spell and ability kit allowing for diverse play styles and strategies.

Mithril Interactive have committed to regular updates to the game as it progresses through Early Access. Arriving soon, based on recent playtests, a new multi-skill system will be introduced offering more skill options for classes. Players can expect new active skills to choose from for Fighter, Death Knight, Rogue, Cryomancer, and Priest. Additionally, class balance adjustments, weapon balance tweaks, and itemization improvements have been made to enhance gameplay experience.

Other major updates for Early Access include PvE improvements, matchmaking lobby enhancements, client/server optimisation, and the addition of a new South America server region. An array of maps and game modes will be available for players to explore, and Mithril Interactive will continue adding content based on player feedback.

"Early Access is a crucial step in Dungeonborne's journey. It allows us to continue refining and balancing the game alongside our growing community,” Elvis, Lead Producer at Mithril Interactive said. “We've already made significant improvements based on player feedback from our playtests. With Early Access, we're excited to dive even deeper into this collaborative development process, ensuring Dungeonborne evolves into the best possible experience for everyone, veterans and new players alike."

Dungeonborne Early Access will be available on Steam starting July 18th, 2024. For more information, follow Dungeonborne on Discord, Youtube, Twitter and the official website. The official Dungeonborne press kit can be found here.
