Belgrade, Serbia (December 28th, 2024) - HLTV is pleased to announce the finalists for the HLTV Awards presented by 1XBET, which will take place in Serbia, Belgrade on January 11th 2025. The coveted award show presents an evening of celebrating and recognising those who have achieved outstanding accomplishments within competitive Counter-Strike.
The HLTV Awards are separated into community and panel categories. The panel awards are handpicked by industry representatives including five HLTV staff, ten broadcasters, and twenty representatives from the best teams of the year, and the community awards are voted on by the community via the HLTV website.
As the prestigious night approaches, the three finalists in each category have been revealed. Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy is in the running for his second coach of the year award following his win in 2022, whilst Nikola “NiKo” Kovač will look to continue his streak as Opener of the Year following back-to-back wins in 2022 and 2023. Following a historic 2023 for Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who took home 3 awards last year, fans will be watching to see if ‘the Chosen One’ can secure any wins this year.
Over the last two weeks over 150,000 votes were cast in the community award categories, Skin of The Year, Streamer of The Year, Creator of The Year, Event of The Year and Talent of The Year, with the top three being named finalists. All the winners will be announced during the HLTV Awards on January 11 in Belgrade, Serbia.
The HLTV Awards, now in its fourth year, will play host to an evening of prestige and celebration. Alongside the announcement of winners in the community and panel categories, viewers will also get to witness the winner of the prestigious HLTV Player of the Year Award. The event will also honour legendary players GeT_RiGhT, HeatoN, f0rest and Potti as they are inducted into the coveted HLTV Hall of Fame.
“It's a privilege to present the finalists for the HLTV Awards which have been picked by both the community and industry.
