Press release —
“Frog Fathers” documentary series from World of Warships and FORCE BLUE releases 10 November
Available for preorder today, the Frog Fathers documentaries find Special Operations veterans visiting the sites of pivotal battles from World War II to explore the challenges of their predecessors
October 20th, 2026 - Today, leading naval warfare video game World of Warships and veteran and marine conservation charity FORCE BLUE are pleased to announce that both of their documentaries, Frog Fathers: Lessons from the Normandy Surf and Frog Fathers 2: Last Battle of the Pacific, will be available for transactional video on-demand from 10 November, available for preorder now on select platforms.
Narrated by John C. McGinley (Scrubs, Platoon, Rooster), the Frog Fathers documentary series is a joint production between World of Warships and FORCE BLUE, built on a partnership that aims to uplift veterans and support ocean conservation. Made possible with support from The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum and The National WWII Museum, the films feature expert military historians including Ben Milligan and John Curatola. The films are being distributed across the US and Canada by Level 33 Entertainment.
Their first film Frog Fathers: Lessons from the Normandy Surf debuted in 2024, and was created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings and the unsung heroes of naval special warfare that paved the way for its success. The film follows the journey of four Navy SEAL veterans, as they travel to the beaches of Normandy to pay homage to the fallen and to retrace the footsteps of their predecessors, the Naval Combat Demolition Unit, in preparation for the largest amphibious assault in military history.
Frog Fathers 2: Last Battle of the Pacific builds upon this, retracing the pivotal Battle of Okinawa and its legacy on the island. The film follows a new team of Navy SEALs, Marines, and a Green Beret, including U.S. Marine veteran and conservationist Rudy Reyes (Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, Generation Kill), revisiting the island 80 years on. There, they explore the challenges faced by their forefathers, the Underwater Demolition Team, and work to restore the coral reefs that were damaged during the battle. From 10 November, both films will be available to viewers through transactional video on-demand, bringing Frog Fathers 2 to viewers for the first time.
“Frog Fathers is an homage to those that made the ultimate sacrifice, and it's our duty to make sure they’re never forgotten.” said Rudy Reyes, U.S. Marine Veteran and FORCE BLUE co-founder. “Staying connected to our history is important for creating a brighter future, and I’m incredibly proud of the Frog Fathers documentary series and what the teams at FORCE BLUE and World of Warships have created, to both educate people about the sacrifices of the past, and honor our fallen veterans.”
Frog Fathers: Lessons from the Normandy Surf is available for preorder across all VOD platforms in the U.S. and Canada here.
