G2 Rises Above in Out-Of-This-World Stunt to Taunt Competitors at the Esports World Cup
- G2 is rising above the rest with its latest stunt – launching a limited edition Esports World Cup team jersey into space, going higher than any team has gone before.

Berlin, Germany, July 7th, 2025 – G2, one of the world’s leading entertainment and esports brands, is reaching new heights with the first esports jersey in space by sending its limited edition Esports World Cup jersey into space as part of an out-of-this-world stunt. This journey into the stratosphere is a bold statement from G2, literally rising above their competition as they prepare to take on the world at the Esports World Cup.
Launching from a facility in the UK, the jersey reached heights of approximately 36km with an ascent time of 1h45m, before touching down safely back on Earth. The stunt was performed in partnership with the Esports World Cup, which G2 is set to compete in across multiple titles, including League of Legends, VALORANT, Counter-Strike, Rainbow Six, Call of Duty, and Sim Racing. The global event features 2,000 elite players and 200 Clubs from more than 100 countries, spanning 7 weeks of competition in 25 tournaments across 24 games for a record-breaking $70+ million prize pool. Kicking off on July 8th, G2 will be one of the first teams to take the stage competing in VALORANT.

- Traveled 36km above the Earth
- Spent an hour in space
- Experienced temperatures of -65°C
- Descended back to earth at speeds of more than 320km/h before parachuting safely to the ground
