INAUGURAL 2024 PUBG MOBILE WORLD CUP MAIN TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND
- The inaugural 2024 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) Main Tournament takes place this Friday from July 26th-28th as 16 teams go head-to-head for the title
- This pivotal moment in PUBG MOBILE Esports follows the results of the Group Stage and Survival Stage which kicked off the competition last weekend
- IW NRX took first place in the Survival Stage, regaining their place in the tournament, and leading the four teams rejoining the others for the final event
- Fans can expect an action-packed weekend of top-tier performances, as teams compete for the 2024 PMWC trophy and their share of the $3,000,000 USD prize pool

LOS ANGELES, 25th July 2024 - Following an action-packed week of phenomenal performances, the inaugural 2024 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) Main Tournament event is set to kick off this weekend, taking place from July 26th-28th. Only one team will be victorious, earning the first ever PMWC Champion title, trophy, and the lion’s share of the $3,000,000 USD prize pool. Earlier this week, 16 teams from the Survival Stage battled it out to stay in the fight, with just four teams rejoining the others for the Main Tournament. With victory in reach, it’s all to play for in the conclusion of this first-of-its-kind competition.
Amidst a high-stakes display from 24 teams during the 2024 PMWC Group Stage last weekend, Alliance stunned the crowd with their skillful display, taking first place and leading the 12 teams qualified for the 2024 PMWC Main Tournament. The remaining 12 teams headed to the Survival Stage, competing along with four wildcard teams from regional PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) tournaments, for another chance at making it to the Main Tournament.
In the end, IW NRX dominated the Survival Stage, with an impressive 122 points and two victories, followed closely by DRX, Tong Jia Bao, and Twisted Minds Brazil who proved themselves throughout the event. This was another thrilling moment in the competition, with fantastic displays from the likes of ZWOLF from IW NRX who scored their team 12 eliminations on day one and OnlyS of TJB, with their fantastic 1v3 clutch on day two.
The Main Tournament takes place from July 26th-28th and will see the 16 qualified teams compete across three days, battling it out in 18 matches with points awarded for match placement and total eliminations. Fans can tune into an exciting weekend of events, including the live performance of Mishaal Tamer’s new song for the 2024 PMWC, “Winner Winner” on the 26th. Day two brings daring Zombie Uprising Metro Royale gameplay and brand new esports reveals from James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite. Ahead of the highly-anticipated results of the Main Tournament, fans can also check out new World of Wonder show matches on day three!
