KONAMI UNVEILS RHAPSODY IN SCARLET, A STYLISH MAGICK-FUELED ACTION GAME SET IN 1920s NEW YORK
A new original adventure blends fast-paced combat, mystical beasts and the vibrant sounds of the Jazz Age
WINDSOR – September 3, 2026 – Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. (KONAMI) today announced Rhapsody in Scarlet, an original action-adventure game coming to PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam®. Set against the glamor and danger of 1920s New York, the game combines combo-driven action, powerful magick and mystical beast abilities with a world shaped by the energy and sound of the Jazz Age.
Players take on the role of Ellie Myers, a young magus and aspiring jazz singer who arrives in New York to pursue her dreams. Beneath the city's bright lights, however, a hidden conflict among magick users continues to unfold. When Ellie becomes entangled in a conspiracy involving a mysterious mafia, she must confront forces that threaten both the city and the wider world.
The newly released Announcement Trailer offers a first look at the game's stylish combat, while the Story Trailer introduces Ellie, her allies and the clandestine struggle unfolding behind New York's dazzling facade.
Master Magick and Mystical Beasts
Combat in Rhapsody in Scarlet is built around the combination of magick and beast abilities. Players can chain together a wide range of close-range, long-range and area-of-effect attacks, switching between beasts and adapting their strategy as encounters evolve. The result is fast, fluid action that rewards creativity, timing and control of the battlefield.

From its architecture and automobiles to its fashions and nightlife, Rhapsody in Scarlet recreates the culture and atmosphere of 1920s New York in vivid detail. Jazz-inspired music accompanies players throughout the adventure, capturing the energy, ambition and excitement that defined the era.
A Story of Magick, Friendship and Fate
Ellie's journey brings her together with Ilya Jones, a gifted magus connected to the elite organization known as the Seekers. As repeated clashes with a mysterious mafia organization draw them deeper into danger, Ellie and Ilya strengthen their bond and face a battle of fate that could shake the balance of the world.
Meet the Lead Characters
• Ellie Myers – voiced by Cherami Leigh: A young magus and aspiring jazz singer who travels to New York in pursuit of her dream, only to be drawn into a hidden conflict among those who wield magick.
• Ilya Jones – voiced by Hannah Grace: A talented young magus whose path becomes intertwined with Ellie's as the pair confront the conspiracy threatening New York.
