LOS ANGELES, California — September 13th, 2024 — The Mobile Gaming Awards, the world’s premier organisation dedicated to mobile gaming accolades, is thrilled to announce the return of its glamorous ceremony – the Mobies – this November. Returning to the Emmy Award-winning Thunder Studios in Los Angeles, the Mobies will feature fan-favourite categories like Mobile Game of the Year, Mobile Content Creator of the Year, and Mobile Player of the Year.
Taking place on November 12th in vibrant Los Angeles, the second iteration of the event will once again spotlight the esports and gaming sectors, with the potential to expand into the broader mobile industry in future editions. Fans can cast their votes for their favourite finalists every 24 hours until November 3rd at mobileawards.com.
The second iteration of the Mobies is set to dazzle with an incredible lineup of nominees, including Honkai: Star Rail and PUBG MOBILE, who are contending for the Mobile Game of the Year and Mobile Action Game of the Year awards. Candy Crush Saga and MONOPOLY GO! are in the run for Mobile Casual Game of the Year, while industry giants miHoYo and Supercell battle for Mobile Developer of the Year. The event will also spotlight innovation with nominees for Mobile Innovation of the Year and celebrate standout personalities and organisations in mobile gaming.
Founded by the team behind the Esports Awards, the industry-acclaimed award ceremony watched by 20 million people each year, and Matt “MobileMatt” Rutledge, esports veteran, the Mobies will document, recognise, and reward excellence in the mobile industry.

This year’s Mobies will highlight the return of the Breakthrough Game of the Year and the Global Impact in Mobile Gaming award, both to be presented on stage. Alongside these, a new award will be introduced – the Mobies Good in Mobile Gaming award.

The Mobile Awards
Founded by Matt “MobileMatt” Rutledge, a mobile esports veteran, and the team behind the Esports Awards, the industry-acclaimed award ceremony watched by 20 million people every year, the Mobile Awards is a new initiative to document, recognise, and reward excellence in the mobile industry.
In December 2022, the Mobile Awards announced the upcoming Mobies, the award ceremony dedicated to the fast-growing industry. The first Mobies will be held in 2023, with more details to be announced soon. Users can already vote for the categories they want to be awarded on mobileawards.com.
