At a stage presentation held at gamescom 2026, the world’s premier gaming show which opened today, Tuesday, August 25, in Cologne, Germany, TiMi Studio Group unveiled the first footage of "Ruger Aidal," a new original Elder Dragon appearing in Monster Hunter Outlanders, which is currently in development under license from Capcom. Pre-registration is now open on the App Store and Google Play.

- First Appearance: Meet the New Elder Dragon "Ruger Aidal"
Ruger Aidal, the game's flagship monster, is the first original Elder Dragon to appear in Monster Hunter Outlanders. Adorned with enormous wings that shine brilliantly like arrows of light, Ruger Aidal resembles a sun suspended in the sky. Sightings are exceedingly rare, and accounts of it have long been preserved in legends passed down on Aesoland.
In the footage unveiled today, the adventurers spot a mysterious aurora. Just after they realise a monster is approaching, Ruger Aidal appears before them, wreathed in golden and iridescent light. After gazing down at the adventurers and standing calmly, it becomes enveloped in an orb of intense light, resembling a second sun, unleashing an intense burst of light and heat that scorches the surrounding landscape. Players can pre-register for Monster Hunter Outlanders now, and soon have the chance to face the imposing elder dragon and discover its connection to the many mysteries of Aesoland.

During gamescom 2026, a special in-person event will be held at a popular Cologne restaurant specialising in various local dishes, where guests can enjoy a meal alongside a hands-on demo of the game.
