Pearl Abyss and Black Desert Players Together Donate 100 Million KRW to Médecins Sans Frontières

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, (Jan 23, 2025) — Pearl Abyss, in collaboration with adventurers from its popular games Black Desert and Black Desert Mobile, announced a donation of 100 million KRW (approximately 67,000 EUR) to the international medical humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, via its Korean branch office.

In this sixth year of partnership between Pearl Abyss and MSF Korea, fans are as fervent as ever to support humanitarian efforts via special in-game events held at the end of last year, with each game contributing 50 million KRW. Players participated by completing designated quests and purchasing donation items using in-game currency.

The donation has been set aside to provide direct and urgent medical aid in Nigeria, providing home treatment kits for Noma patients, establishing cholera treatment centers, supplying therapeutic food to combat malnutrition, and providing health care in conflict zones.

Since 2019, Pearl Abyss has hosted annual in-game donation events, partnering with adventurers to contribute 100 million KRW each year to MSF. These events have been recognized as meaningful initiatives, allowing players to support global humanitarian efforts through gameplay. The donations have helped provide medical aid to regions affected by armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and healthcare disparities worldwide.
