Blog: Synergy SKY’s InfoComm debut was a great success

Synergy SKY was at InfoComm 2014 in full force.
As Andrew Davis from Wainhouse Research put it, we "apparently rented a B777 to fly the whole company from Oslo to infoComm14…” 

We had a small “starter” (read: start-up) booth at a prime location, and we are happy to say, it was buzzing the entirety of the three days the show floor was open.

As the video industry is moving from "all-infrastructure-on-prem" to "hybrid private/public cloud" to "pure cloud,” we are seeing tremendous interest from both existing service providers and resellers who are looking to replace their declining hardware resale revenue with monthly recurring revenue (MRR)-based services. We also saw great interest from large enterprise customers, who are struggling to manage a multi-vendor environment to offer video services to everyone in the organization.

It was not a coincidence that we used this event to announce three major customer wins: 

•  Tata Communications, whose next generation jamvee offering is powered by Synergy SKY,

•  SKC, whose revolutionary hosted video platform SKC Twist uses Synergy SKY to mass provision, monitor, manage and bill VMRs and soft clients from a multitude of vendors,

•  And Video Guidance, who are building a next generation VaaS platform under the moniker VG Connect, also powered by Synergy SKY

And finally, our brain trust were at hand to demonstrate the platform to the visitors, particularly the new Intelligent Scheduling and MeetingIQ functionalities. Our customers and partners were particularly impressed with our capability to create VMRs on the fly, independent of the infrastructure components in place.
