Synergy SKY announces general availability of the next generation of its ground-breaking Video as a Service management platform

OSLO, Norway, April 2, 2014 – Synergy SKY, a provider of comprehensive multi-vendor, multi-tenant management solutions for unified collaboration, today announced the general availability of the next generation of its platform. Version 3.0 has undergone thorough and extensive stress, scalability and stability testing, and is available for customer deployment today.

The brand new Synergy SKY Provisioning Engine enables service providers and large enterprises to easily deploy large numbers of virtual meeting rooms and software clients to multiple customers on various vendor platforms. Synergy SKY currently supports technology platforms from Cisco, Microsoft Lync, Pexip, Acano and Polycom.

"There has been a bit of a vacuum in the market when it comes to mass provisioning and billing support for operators, service providers and enterprises needing to provide video conferencing and unified communication services either within the enterprise or in a multi-tenant environment – often on mixed technology platforms," says Ståle Reitan, CEO of Synergy SKY. “Version 3.0 brings massive scalability to provisioning, with big data principles in mind. We are now proud to offer our customers the industry’s only complete toolkit for Video as a Service (VaaS) and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) offerings."

The provisioning engine now also allows end users to manage dedicated resources inside their own network, as well as shared resources from the service provider through an easy-to-use self service portal.

Apart from added functionality, the platform infrastructure has also been updated for big data scalability and modified with a large number of technical modifications.
