So this is it, Paris here we come!

So this is it. This is the big one. This is the one we’ve all been training for. The other rides have just been a warm up to this. If we’re not ready now we never will be.

On Thursday, Team Tahola take on our biggest, and final challenge of the year – cycling from London to Paris. It’s a 500km ride completed over 4 days. We’ll be riding just over 100km each day and for most of us the distance isn’t the problem, it’s the riding for 4 consecutive days. Will we be able to stand up straight when we get to the L’Arc de Triomphe? I can just hear the John Wayne jokes now😊

We’re riding to raise money for Bloodwise, the UK blood cancer charity. We set ourselves an ambitious target of raising £14,000 and we’re within sight of achieving it. We’ve had some fabulous support from our kit sponsors, to corporate sponsorship, as well as lots of friends, relatives, colleagues and customers. It would be amazing to ride into Paris knowing that we’ve achieved our target and we’ve only got just over £2,000 to go to get there. This is where you can help us please.

Are you able to make a donation to help us achieve our target? If you can, you can donate in two ways:

TEXT TTCB50 to 70070 to donate £5

JUST GIVING https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/taholatriple

If you have friends, family or colleagues that could support us, or even any corporate sponsorship, please pass on this email or the donation details above. We’re grateful for every £1 that’s donated.

If you’re still not convinced about donating, let me try one further thing. Each year Bloodwise create a video of the event featuring the cyclists and crew. This year the video will be based around the George Ezra track, “Paradise”. Who knows what it will look like and whether or not any of Team Tahola will be featured, but if you want to see last years video of “Praise You” by Fat Boy Slim, hopefully it will make you smile.

So all that remains is for me to thank you for your continued support and for the donations you have made. And if you need to speak to me, Ross White, Jason Martin or Leigh Baillie this week, please do it before Thursday otherwise when we answer the phone you’re likely to hear a lot of heavy breathing!!

Thank you

Simon Blackbourne, Team Tahola
