Press release -

The Key to successful BI and analytics has to be about more than just the Platform

The Business Intelligence and analytics market includes platforms that can be rapidly implemented, either by business users who need to find insights or by IT leaders who want to build analytics content to meet business requirements. Business users are driving the need for new capabilities by demanding access to analysis and insights from advanced analytics, even if they don’t have IT or data science skills. At the same time IT wants to deliver on this demand from business users for data discovery capabilities, but without sacrificing governance.

So what's the solution that can bridge this gap?

Here at Tahola we do not align ourselves to one single BI platform, but instead, to ensure that we provide the right solution to our customers, we have chosen to work with industry leading, world class solution vendors. Instead of taking a 'one size fits all' approach as some organisations do, we offer a variety of platforms to meet the differing and challenging needs of our customers, all of which are designed with one aim in mind, to maximise the use of data that will support their business growth.

Tahola was established over 15 years ago to provide Business Analytics solutions to forward thinking organisations across the UK. Whilst we have a diverse customer portfolio, our speciality focus is on the hospitality and leisure sector where we have many blue chip operators as customers and consequently over the years have built up a vast amount of knowledge and expertise within the industry. We are currently the only Qlik Partner in Europe to hold their Travel & Hospitality industry specialism and we are one of only a small number of IBM Partners to hold a Business Analytics Accreditation that validates our EposMart data warehouse application for use with Cognos Analytics software.

But why should you choose Tahola?

As important as the software is, we believe that choosing the right partner to work with is often more important and in our experience is often the key to the success of any BI and analytics project.

Easy access to key data is also of paramount importance, because within most modern hospitality organisations there is typically a need to integrate with a variety of data sources to maximise on the investment and reveal greater insights into the business.

One, if not the most-costly part of any business intelligence project is the integration element. Gaining access to important data held in line of business solutions is of paramount importance and a common mistake made by organisations, is that they often oversimplify the complexity of what’s actually involved to gain access to the right data.

Therefore, to simplify this process, Tahola has developed pre-built interfaces that link to many third-party data sources. We recognise the effectiveness of enhancing our own specialism through integration, adding further value for the users, saving time and minimising the need for investment in costly bespoke integration work. We are unique in the market as we have an integration library consisting of pre-built interfaces to a variety of Epos, Labour Scheduling, Table booking, customer feedback, menu and stock management, CRM & call systems, accommodation and many Social Media channels.

Tahola work with our customers not for them and so we never just simply deliver software, but we are dedicated to delivering solutions, solutions that add value to your business. We understand that business needs change and so offer the flexibility to adapt projects quickly, enabling us to add in new requirements as projects progress towards completion and through to go-live.

It doesn’t end there though as Tahola adopt an iterative process to all of our projects and because we have many years' experience, our knowledge will help you to decide, not only what you want, but also what you need for your business throughout the life of the partnership and not just the implementation.

Tahola focus on continual business improvement and practical implementation, and as a consequence of this can tailor a system to suit all of your needs, be that a bespoke or cloud based solution.

If you are looking to implement a successful BI and analytics solution to meet your specific business needs, then we are certain that Tahola has the skills and expertise to help you achieve that.

  • Which data really matters - and how should you act upon it?

Albert Einstein once said, "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." While that revelation may not be new, it certainly applies to hospitality's current data landscape, now more than ever before.
Why? Because the hospitality sector is awash with data, and with powerful, complex data sitting within reach, it's hard to know what to identify, what to simplify, and what
