TeXtreme® thermoplastic variant in Rinspeed project

TeXtreme® has been used in some parts for the BamBoo concept car, the latest Rinspeed project. Bamboo partner Ticona has in the project cooperated with Oxeon in developing composite reinforcements for the car. Oxeon used Ticona’s Celstran® tapes to produce a thermoplastic variant of TeXtreme® fabric by utilizing their proprietary Tape Weaving Technology.

Ticona recently released a new video about their participation in the BamBoo project where Daniel Grauer, Technical Marketing Manager Composites, talks about how they have worked on the project: see Video
