The Accordion Shop arranges for Local Budding Accordion Player to Visit Cooperativa Factory

Talented 12-year-old Louis from Datchet is a budding musician who is currently grade five in classical piano and already an accomplished jazz pianist. He also enjoys playing the drums.

He started learning to play the accordion last year with teacher Stephen Best, and is enjoying a wide range of musical styles. His tutor says he is progressing very well, and Louis has recently upgraded from his starter accordion to a high quality Cooperativa 501 37/120 compact model with a double octave straight tuning and handmade Super Ceasere reeds.

The young star has already performed the accordion in his school concert, and is planning a follow-up jazz-medley performance later this term.

Thanks to The Accordion Shop who has branches in Sunningdale, Berkshire and Rochdale, Lancashire, Louis was able to realise a musical dream and visit the Cooperitiva factory last month where he had a great time being shown around by the owner Emiliana Roviaro and her son Romeo.

Amongst other things, Louis was lucky enough to see the whole production process at his favourite accordion maker and was thrilled with a perfect day out.

He’s already a very talented musician, and it’s almost impossible to believe he only started to learn the accordion last year and has already upgraded his instrument to a Coopertiva and played in front of his school. We think he’s a natural.’

He added, ‘Arranging for Louis to see how his accordion was made was the least we could do for such a budding young talent. All who know him recognise his talent, and I’m sure he will make an even bigger musical name for himself as he gets older.’
