Press release -

30 young Swedish entrepreneurs under the age of 30 are making their way to London to exchange ideas, extend their networks and to learn about the United Kingdom as a market on 10-12 February 2011

The Junior Chamber Club for Young Professionals (JCC) of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce is organising the event in co-operation with Young Entrepreneurs of Sweden in partnership with Sandbox, a global community of extraordinary young achievers.. At the seminar and forum on 10 February, 30 of Sweden’s foremost young entrepreneurs under 30 will, together with a panel of two venture capitalists and two entrepreneurs, discuss how to build a successful fast-growing company. The discussions will be led by Christer Holloman, Chairman of First Tuesday and columnist at Sky News.

“Sweden has so much talent and the United Kingdom is a fantastic base for building your success”, says Annika Wahlberg, Managing Director, Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK. “Our mission is to promote brand Sweden, and what better way to do it than by presenting and introducing young and talented entrepreneurs”.

“We are here to exchange ideas, experiences and business cards with London based entrepreneurs and venture capitalists”, says Fredrik Hagenius, founder of YEoS and Anders Wall Scholar at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK, who is organising the event. “Hopefully this will be an annual event, further establishing ties between young Swedish and British entrepreneurs”.

Amongst the participants are Isabella Löwengrip, famous blogger “Blondinbella”, Christoffer Caesar, wind power entrepreneur and Mai-Li Hammargren, founder of the vibrating wristband and touch screen watch.

Isabella Löwengrip (20) runs one of the biggest blogs in Sweden with over 300,000 readers per week. Isabella also operates four limited companies and started the first; Blondinbella AB at the age of 16. Since then, she has launched her own clothing brand called Classified, which is sold in 23 stores around Sweden, the blog network Spotlife and Löwengrip Invest. In addition to the companies she studies for a MBA at Lorange Institute of Business in Zurich, is writing her second book (her first, Egoboost, has currently sold over 25,000 copies), which will be released in February, and preparing the launch of a career magazine for young women named Egoboost Magazine.

Christoffer Caesar (28) started his first business when he was twelve by hiring himself out as a DJ, and later acting as an agent for other DJs. Later in life Christoffer founded a computer store to finance his studies at Lund Institute of Technology. Now, a few years later, he has a track record of several successful start-ups and he still controls some of them trough his investment company Caesar Invest AB, including Kraftö Vind AB, one of the strongest-growing wind power developers in Sweden, which he co-founded in 2006. In 2009 Kraftö received an order from Alpiq worth 350 million Euros.

Mai-Li Hammargren (24) is currently in the process of turning her passion for time management into a successful company. Meanwhile she has finished her studies at Stockholm School of Economics, and an international master in management at University of St Gallen, Switzerland and London School of Economics. Her company Mutewatch AB is developing a product with the same name; a silent alarm in the shape of a vibrating wristband with a hidden touch screen. Mai-Li has been named as one of Sweden’s 101 Super Talents 2010.

The mission will include a series of meetings, such as company visits to Spotify and Atomico (Skype-founder Niklas Zennström’s venture capital company) as well as meetings with senior representatives of the Embassy of Sweden and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
