Press release -

Architects...Assemble!

We need architects and other design professionals to join us in our mission to provide a huge library of 3D CAD models, of real life products, from leading and niche manufacturers...

Our aim is to see theCADcube become an essential tool for architects, interior designers and other design professionals. A resource that can be turned to on a regular basis for each and every project. There are quite a few big steps to make on the way to achieving this, but we are up for the challenge.
Firstly, we need to collaborate with leading and niche product manufacturers in order to provide the content design professionals want to use. We really believe that all suppliers should be providing as much information about their products as they possibly can, and this includes 3D CAD models. In such a saturated market, if I was a product manufacturer, I would want to know that my products were as accessible and easy to specify as possible.

So, probably our toughest task is convincing manufacturers that printed catalogues and the odd technical drawing no longer cut the mustard. We live in a digital world and the majority of designers now work in 3D.

So far we have had mixed success. We have some great companies and products online, but we want much more. And to do this we need your help...
We want to build a community here on theCADcube. A community of design professionals who want to have quality 3D CAD content at their fingertips, as and when they need it. As this community grows so does the demand on manufacturers to supply the content. So I guess you could see this as a call to arms, a passionate plea to our comrades to support a noble cause, to take a stand against...erm, that got a bit weird.

Really we just want you to sign up for a free account. Even if there isn't the exact content you are looking for just yet, there will be in time. Each and every person who signs up will increase the demand on manufacturers to supply the CAD content of their products, and it will allow you to keep up to date with new manufacturers and products available.

We would also like your input. So once you have signed up for a free account, played around a bit, you can let us know, what you like, what you don't you and what features you think would improve the service.

Sound like a plan? You can sign up here.

Look out for our next couple of posts which will look at each feature of theCADcube in some detail.
