#VolunteersWeek - Fiona Kramer
Fiona works at Crawford House on a weekly basis and has been coming in for the last two years – she is a great help to House Manager Gail and the team.
Many years ago, Fiona worked as a play worker in the Royal General Infirmary, Newcastle, and loved it. Since retiring, she decided to help in whatever way she could
When Fiona comes to Crawford House, she helps welcome new families whose poorly children are in hospital, she entertains siblings who are staying at the house and she generally helps look after the house.
House Manager Gail says: “I’d like to say a huge thanks to Fiona for always being willing to help out when we need her, and for all her hard work here every Friday. Fiona is great fun, really friendly and hard working. She is a really versatile lady, and always willing to help where needed. She will always come in if we need an extra pair of hands and has even helped at some fundraising events outside Crawford House. She is always smiling – she brightens up everyone’s day!”
