£30 will make a family’s Christmas Wish come true

Heart Radio DJ and Sick Children's Trust Ambassador, Sian Welby, is backing the charity's Christmas appeal and has a message for you.

"Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I like to spend it at home indulging in festive food and snuggled on the sofa in front of a film with my loved ones. How do you like to spend yours?

"While you and I look forward to spending Christmas at home, the reality for many families with sick children in hospital is completely different. They face long and anxious journeys to be with their child.

"This Christmas, The Sick Children’s Trust – a charity very close to my heart – wants to ensure no child wakes up on Christmas morning without their family around them. The charity has launched its ‘My Christmas Wish’ appeal to raise £13,230 to support families ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, just minutes from their sick child’s bedside so that they don’t wake up on Christmas morning alone.

"A donation of £30 will give a family a place to stay in a ‘Home from Home’ this Christmas. £30 will ensure one child in hospital will wake up on Christmas morning with their family by their side.

"If you can donate £30, you will be making at least one family’s Christmas Wish come true.

"Thank you in advance for your support."
