Thule K-Guard – makes kayaking easier

Faster, safer and easier – spend less time loading and more time dedicated to your kayak. First ever kayak carrier to be lockable both kayak to carrier and carrier to roof rack. K-guard, the new kayak carrier from Thule, makes its first appearance ever on Kanumesse in Nürnberg 18-20 September.

Kayaks are designed to master the forces of water but when it comes to transportation outside of their element the situation is quite another. With hulls in light, sensitive materials and shapes that vary quite a bit from model to model it is a true challenge to design a universal kayak carrier that can accommodate for these two factors and allow for the safest possible transportation at the same time. Thule K-Guard is unique carrier, very quick and easy to fit to the roof rack, using the top track of the Thule SlideBar, WingBar or AeroBar, and gripping around the Square bar.

Thule K-Guard is:

• Very quick and easy to fit to the roof rack
• Tiltable in a wide angle for easiest possible loading and unloading of the kayak
• The first ever kayak carrier to be lockable both kayak to carrier and carrier to roof rack
• Designed with rubber supports for adapting to differently shaped kayaks, maintaining good pressure distribution onto the kayak hull
• City Crash tested and approved for a load of 45 kg
• Held into position by an ingeniously constructed, lockable steel-core strap
• Hentle with its protective cover to avoid scratches and marks on the kayak
• Easy to use with the possibility to tighten the strap both in open and locked position
