Angela Eagle MP, Labour’s Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, commenting on today’s inflation figures, said:

"Today's inflation figures tell us what we all know - that families are worried about their cost of living. And it spells out why a VAT rise in three weeks time is such a bad idea.”
