Cellcrypt Appoints David Rivington as COO

Cellcrypt (www.cellcrypt.com), the leading provider of encrypted cell phone voice calling, today announced that it has appointed David Rivington as Chief Operating Officer (COO) as the company positions itself for further growth. David comes to Cellcrypt with over 20 years of global experience in management and strategy of fast moving technology businesses.

David, who took up his position in September 2010, will oversee all of Cellcrypt operational and finance functions.  He will report directly to the CEO and Chairman, Richard Greco, and be based at the company’s London headquarters.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Greco says: “I’m delighted that David has joined the management team.  His proven track record of success, extensive operational experience and insights will help to move Cellcrypt into an exciting new chapter of expansion on a larger scale”.

Prior to this most recent appointment, Rivington was Chief Operating Officer of Macropolitan Limited, a wireless wholesale broadband infrastructure provider, sold to Macquarie Wireless in 2007.  Previously, he was a founder of Bulldog Communications where he held a number of senior roles including Chief Operating Officer, a role he retained for 12 months after exit. In both cases he led the exit transaction team of the selling company.

He spent 8 years at Apple Computer in a variety of senior roles in Paris and California, including Director of Product Planning for Apple Europe.  He has worked as a researcher for Goldman Sachs and as a staff journalist for The Economist.  He has an MBA from the London Business School and a degree in engineering from Queens University in Kingston Ontario Canada.
