CyrusOne: CyrusOne Expands Operations with Sentrum

Sentrum (www.sentrum.com), a specialist in data centre solutions, has today announced that CyrusOne, a preeminent enterprise data centre colocation provider, will be leasing space with immediate effect at Sentrum 4 in Woking. 

CyrusOne will take approximately 10,000 sq ft of data space in the high specification data centre facility - which will also act as the first data centre for its operations in Europe. The agreement also extends to offer CyrusOne right of first refusal on an additional 10,000 square feet which can be taken on request.

“Specifications for the facility that we were looking for were very high and it was critical that the business partner we secured could deliver on every element,” said David Ferdman, CEO at CyrusOne. “Sentrum not only met the brief but the industry experience and knowledge that the team could also offer was second to none. There is no doubt that Sentrum 4 is a state-of-the-art facility and we were certainly very impressed at the high level of engineering expertise that was obviously involved.”

In keeping with CyrusOne’s standards for high availability colocation space, the Sentrum 4 data centre will offer N+N or N+1 power solutions; a minimum N+N Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with battery back-up, a minimum of N+1 standby on all cooling systems, as well as state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression, security and building management systems. The new data centre is expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2011.
