Epitiro: Epitiro Announces New IPV6 Testing and Analysis Solution

Epitiro, a leader in broadband performance analysis, today announced a new IPV6 measurement capability for service providers adopting the new addressing protocol.

End-to-end IPV6 testing and analysis includes key performance indicators such as throughput speed, latency, packet loss and jitter. Other ‘customer experience’ analysis such as IP voice quality, video streaming and on-line gaming are also available.

Service providers will need to cope with a mix of IPV4 and IPV6 traffic as the two protocols co-exist. Processes such as tunnelling or dual-stack implementation need to work correctly without introducing additional overhead or inadvertently impeding quality. Third party IPV6 “tunnel brokers” may form part of the solution, and Epitrio’s IPV6 monitoring capability will assist service providers with SLA management to track their performance.
