Press release -
Plustek Technology Inc.: Plustek Document Scanners on Show at AIIM Roadshow 2011
Plustek Technology Inc., a manufacturer of consumer, prosumer, professional and office imaging devices (including portable scanners, sheetfed/flatbed scanners and photo scanners), will be demonstrating its latest office scanners at the AIIM Roadshow 2011 on Wednesday 15th June, Centennial Centre, Birmingham (Stand 10, shared booth with Allied Images).
According to an AIIM survey, the consumption of paper and the number of photocopies is finally starting to fall in 39% of organisations. Amongst those businesses with integrated document scanning and capture operations, 53% are seeing a significant reduction. But savings in paper-handling and reduced office storage space are no longer the main reasons for scanning paper documents.
The survey, based on over 400 responses, showed that the strongest drivers for investments in this area are improved searchability, knowledge sharing and productivity improvements. Yet only a third of organisations are benefiting fully from more advanced ‘scan-to-process’ systems and only a quarter are using automated recognition software to capture data from forms and integrate this into other business processes.
The best way to find out which systems are right for a business is to talk to people who understand the issues and their solutions. And the best place to do that is at the AIIM Roadshow 2011 exhibition. At the one-day event in Birmingham, show attendees will have the opportunity to demonstrate the flexibility and effectiveness of Plustek’s latest range of document scanners.
Attendees can also discover how 48% of scanning and capture projects produce a positive ROI in 12 months or less and how electronic records management can keep a company out of court.
“We’re really excited to be offering hands-on demonstrations of our office scanners at the AIIM Roadshow 2011,” said Edward Hill, Business Development Manager, Plustek. “Our scanners have been designed with the image quality, paper handling and reliability required by enterprise users wanting to improve workflows, information access and overall business performance.”
NOTE TO EDITORS: Review samples of Plustek’s document scanners are available immediately.
