Thunderhead: The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company Selects Thunderhead to Help Deliver a Consistent Client and Producer Experience

Thunderhead, the company that builds loyalty and profitability by optimizing customer engagement, today announced that The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company has selected the ThunderheadNOW platform to streamline workflow processes and deliver a consistent client and producer experience.

Headquartered in Horsham, Pennsylvania, Penn Mutual has been providing life insurance for more than 160 years. The company uses multiple legacy systems to generate communications to clients and producers, including separate systems for print, web and e-mail correspondence. These disparate systems prove challenging to manage and mean that implementing any changes to templates is a slow, inefficient and arduous process.

By implementing ThunderheadNOW, Penn Mutual will be able to better streamline their holistic communications process and improve workflows across multiple teams. ThunderheadNOW is initially being deployed by Penn Mutual to produce policies. The system will eventually be rolled out to produce a variety of producer and client statements and correspondence. As a result of its Thunderhead deployment, Penn Mutual will be able to more centrally manage client and producer communications across an array of channels, including print, e-mail, web and mobile.

In addition to core ThunderheadNOW components, Penn Mutual is also using the Thunderhead Context Engine, a highly scalable, XML repository designed to archive document and correspondence content as it is processed. The XML data captured by the Context Engine represents a complete history of the Thunderhead-generated communications.
