ZBD: ZBD launches large format epop 900 - The new graphic display designed to show full product data or product range information

ZBD, the ‘epaper for retail’ specialist, has announced the launch of its new large format display, the epop 900. The epop 900 is designed for aisle end promotions, big ticket items, fruit & vegetable and fresh produce displays in food retailers and throughout department stores and speciality stores. Its larger screen size makes it ideal for displaying full product data or product range information.

Building on the success ZBD’s existing range of products, the epop 900 has been designed for retail outlets that wish to convey more comprehensive product information to their customers.

The epop 900 is ZBD’s large format display with three times the screen area of the epop 500 – with 174,000 pixels. ZBD’s bistable high screen definition for the epop 900 has been designed to support large graphical images, data lists as well as scannable 1D and 2D bar-codes – for enriched data, re-ordering, product availability and weblinks. The epop 900 supports 3 display pages that can be switched by the system as required.

Jann Naef, Director of Product Marketing for ZBD, said “The additional screen size of the epop 900 makes it the perfect addition to our product range. The epop 900 will enable retailers to display a combination of complex product information, or an entire product range on a single screen, eliminating the need for paper.”

“ZBD is unique in that we have complete control of our product roadmap and Intellectual property. Our world-leading group of scientists and engineers are dedicated to solving retailers’ needs, and because the inventors of this technology are still part of our team today, we have the ability to respond rapidly to our customers’ requirements and deliver more screen size for little extra cost” said Naef.

As with the rest of ZBD’s epaper range, which comprises the epop 50, 55, 300 and 500, the epop 900 is fully graphical with high contrast and excellent viewing angle. It fits seamlessly into ZBD’s low-touch Bounce communication system, providing retailers with a complete, integrated ESL solution.
