Good planning is half the battle - Bathrooms from Villeroy & Boch save time and cleaning agents

Admittedly: There are more enjoyable things to do than clean the bathroom. That is why Villeroy & Boch bathrooms do part of the annoying housework themselves. Thanks to the anti-fingerprint surfaces, ceramic finishes and sophisticated designs, cleaning the bathroom takes no time at all. This isn’t just music to the ears of those who hate cleaning, but also for the environment: Bathrooms that are easy to clean require fewer aggressive cleaning agents to stay hygienically clean.

Dirt doesn’t stand a chance

Anyone who would like to save time and cleaning agents when cleaning should think about using products that are as easy to clean as possible already when planning the bathroom – and design their bathroom so to make it difficult for grime to survive in the first place. This starts by choosing the right washbasin: Deep washbasins such as the Subway 3.0 are really clever, as they make it difficult for water to splash out, even if the water is turned all the way up quickly. Because fewer splashes in and around the washbasin means less cleaning. Artis also shows that non-standard variants can be easy to clean too: The colours of the washbasin collection, designed by the German-Danish designer Gesa Hansen, give the exterior an extravagance. The interior in turn shines in classic white - so that even dark colours like Bordeaux, Ocean or Coal Black are super easy to keep clean.

Neatly store dust traps

Bathroom furniture makes for real “dirt preventers": If you store your bathroom utensils in cabinets and drawers, they are protected from dust and dirt. And if nothing is lying around, the clear surfaces can easily be wiped clean. All you need is a soft, moist cloth with maybe some drops of neutral cleaner. Villeroy & Boch has also developed an another cleanliness trick: The smart anti-fingerprint surfaces - such as with the trendy matte colours of the Subway 3.0 - are particularly durable and easy to clean.

Easy-to-clean shower trays

Shower trays made of ceramics, acrylic and Quaryl®, such as those that Villeroy & Boch offers in many variants, are very quick to clean: simply rinse with cold water and squeegee, done. The continuous surfaces are largely non-porous and, unlike tiled shower areas, don’t have any joints in which soap residue, limescale and moisture can build up.

Toilet hygiene made easy

The new type of WC flushing TwistFlush uses the physical force of a water vortex, which flushes almost all of the inside of the toilet bowl while carrying waste away. It does this so thoroughly that you don't have to flush multiple times, which saves precious water. In addition, the intelligently-shaped basin with its steep and extra-smooth walls reduces deposits - you won’t be needing the toilet brush very often. TwistFlush toilets are also equipped with the DirectFlush technology from Villeroy & Boch, making them rimless: Instead of the usual narrow rim, they only need a little splash guard, making them quick and easy to clean. By the way: The biggest hygiene trap isn’t in the toilet itself, but rather under the edge of the seat. But it’s no reason to use cleaners containing chlorine or acids: All you need with high quality toilet seats made of the coloured-through Duroplast is lukewarm water and a mild sanitary cleaner. It works particularly simply and thoroughly if the seat can easily be removed thanks to the QuickRelease.

Cleaner than ceramic: CeramicPlus and AntiBac

With its dense surface, ceramic is particularly easy to clean, making it ideal for the bathroom. With the dirt-repelling finish CeramicPlus, Villeroy & Boch has improved the good cleaning properties of ceramics even more. Because water forms droplets on contact with CeramicPlus, which then roll down the drain, carrying with them particles of limescale and dirt. But if something should remain stuck, CeramicPlus can be quickly and easily wiped clean with a moist cloth - all without aggressive cleaning agents. Additional hygiene bonus: The special glazing AntiBac with silver ions reduces bacterial growth by more than 99.9 per cent.
